Dear Friends,
The results are in and I'm thrilled to report that we finished in FIRST PLACE!! I am deeply grateful to the voters of Montgomery County for believing in my candidacy for the Board of Education. The hard work and dedication of our hearty poll workers cannot be underestimated. Also, my thanks go out to my campaign steering committee and the many elected officials and community leaders who are supporting my effort.
Now the work begins on Phase II of the campaign: the general election this November. Our campaign team is already gearing up for the work that lies ahead to be successful on November 4th. I need your help to continue the positive momentum that we've built with the primary win. Running a county-wide campaign is very expensive and I need your financial support to continue to get the word out about my candidacy. We need your help in spreading the word about Phil.
I am running for the Board of Education At-Large because I believe we can do better at meeting the needs of every child. Montgomery County Public Schools must meet the needs of every student and prepare them to meet the challenges of the future. I believe in high expectations and rigorous standards at all schools to ensure our children maximize their potential. Critical to the academic success of each student is: recruitment and retention of exceptional principals, teachers, and support professionals; meaningful parental support and involvement; and a safe and secure school environment.
